 For the first time in history the Polish football team have qualified
for the European Championships. The Poles beat Belgium 2:0 with 2 goals scored by Euzebiusz Smolarek and therefore guaranteed themselves a place in the tournament.
The number of Polish football fans gathered at The Globe Pub to watch the match live exceeded our expectations. There was a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish and afterwards, Polish fans went onto the Millennium Bridge where they burnt the white and red flares to celebrate this historic achievement.
